A large form of a letter of the alphabet .A,B,C,and D are capitals. 3. The total amount of money or property that is owned by a company or person. My father has enough capital to start his own company. 1. Being the most important ; main ; chief . Madrid is Spain’s capital city . 2. Having to do with the death penalty. Many countries have done away with capital punishment . Adjective another word the sounds like this is capitol .
